Along with their close relatives Calatheas and Marantas, these “Prayer Plants" get their name because their leaves lie flat by day, but fold upwards in the night.

- Light: Bright, indirect light. They won't do well in low-light areas.
- Water: Water once a week or when the soil is dry.
- Temperature: They prefer warm positions so keep it away from cold drafts
- Soil: Use well draining soil and feed once a month with a good quality liquid fertiliser in warmer months only.
