Also known as the Calathea Makoyana, the striking patterns of thin lines and larger ovals make the leaves almost look like Peacock feathers.

Care Instructions
- Light: Filtered light is perfect - no direct sunlight.
- Water: Use a spray bottle a few times a week to keep the soil moist, then a nice drink once a week.
- Temperature: The warmer the better - you may notice the leaves starting to turn brown on the tips if the humidity isn't high enough.
- Soil: A rich, well-drained potting mix is best. Lift your plastic pot from the outer pot once a week to keep an eye on the bottom tray - make sure it's not sitting in water!
- Did you know: Calathea grow better when they are around other plants!
Green Thumb Level
Easy - Medium
Given the right conditions, these striking plants are quite easy to care for. One main thing to watch is the temperature - they are highly sensitive to cold draughts and fluctuations - so while you may enjoy the airconditioning blasting in the summer, your Calathea won't! Move it into the bathroom while you shower to help with increasing the humidity.
Size Details
The plant is potted in either 10, 11, or 12cm plastic nursery pot. Each pot has one clump; leaves measure about 5-10cm.
Some natural variation in size and appearance may occur.
